Intended Use

Qualitative detection and identification of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Saccharomyces spp., Zygosaccharomyces bailii/parabailii, and Zygosaccharomyces group (Zygosaccharomyces bailii, Zygosaccharomyces parabailii and Zygosaccharomyces rouxii) in samples of Beer.

Intended for use in food safety and microbiology laboratories of low or high complexity.

Principle

Detection is performed through multiplex real-time PCR using fluorescence-labeled probes. During amplification, sequence-specific probes hybridize to their target regions and emit fluorescence as the reaction progresses. The fluorescence signal increases proportionally to the amount of amplified DNA, allowing precise detection and identification of each target in real time. The assay’s multiplex design enables simultaneous monitoring of multiple microorganisms in a single reaction, while TxA software automatically interprets the fluorescence profiles to determine positive or negative results for each target.
