KIT DESCRIPTION

ELEVIA 1.1 SALMONELLA SPP.

An ultra-fast RT-PCR kit built for same-day Salmonella release.

Elevia 1.1 Salmonella spp. is a real-time RT-PCR detection kit for Salmonella spp., AOAC-RI Performance Tested under License 072601. It reads RNA instead of DNA — thousands of copies in every viable cell — which is why results land in as little as 3 hours, with up to 10,000× the sensitivity of standard qPCR.

Key features

Results in the same shift

3–6 h on surfaces, 7–10 h on finished product. Fast enough to act before the next run starts.

Leaner plant operations

Fewer holds, less warehouse space tied up, quicker line release, and smaller lots at risk when something goes wrong.

Viable cells

RNA mostly disappears when a cell dies. You act on live contamination, not on DNA left behind after sanitation.

AOAC-RI Performance Tested

Third-party certified under License 072601. Confident and accurate results.

Runs on your existing qPCR

Any open real-time platform. No proprietary instrument, no new capex.

TxA software included

Automated interpretation and reporting — nobody reads curves by hand.

Elevia 1.1 Salmonella on surfaces: how the protocol fits your plant, and why environmental monitoring belongs in your own lab.

The right strategy for every situation.

Same Elevia kits, two protocols for surfaces — go ultrafast with Zero for post-sanitation release, or add flexibility with Xpress when a confirmation sample matters.

Operational details for Zero protocol

Sampling that fits

Works with swabs or sponges.

No incubator needed

Enrichment runs on a thermoblock.

Fits a small lab

A simple protocol that runs in 9 m².

Use your own PCR

Runs on any open thermocycler.

Safe by design

Minimal cross-contamination risk.

Bring environmental testing in-house — and keep the savings.

With short or no enrichment, contamination risk stays low enough to run your EMP in your own lab: no per-sample fees, no waiting on someone else's queue. In one business case, a plant saves over $200K a year with Elevia kits.

Workflow overview

Easy to implement. Results in the same shift.

Select your protocol — environmental or finished product — and get a simple workflow with a result in the same shift.

Straight from the swab. No enrichment, no waiting.

3 h

Full workflow time to results
  1. 01
    ~35 min

    Extraction

Manual extraction on the bench or automatic extraction on the MultiEX 032 system — same 96-well output either way.

  2. 02
    95 mins

    RT-qPCR

Elevia 1.1 reads RNA from viable Salmonella cells using fluorescent probes on FAM and HEX channels, validated on Bio-Rad and Analytik Jena real-time PCR systems.

  3. 03
    Automatic

    Automated output

TxA reads the amplification curves and classifies each sample as positive or negative automatically, no manual transcription, no analyst subjectivity.

Implementation

Fewer instruments. Less space. Faster answers.

You need less than you think. Elevia 1.1 Salmonella runs on standard real-time PCR instruments — no proprietary hardware. See how little equipment you need, how little space it takes, and how simply the samples flow through it.
